In the Palm of God’s Hands 1
By Ellen A-Tjak
275 mm x 420 mm unframed
Ellen A-Tjak was a Dutch-Suriname photographer. Originally a Graphic Designer she switched careers to being a psychiatric nurse. After a burnout, she returned to the creative arts to become a professional photographer. She graduated two months before she died at 52 of cancer.
Ellen was inspired by the beauty of nature. She could spend days and days looking at and capturing flowers, birds and landscapes. The photos in this exhibition are part of her Master Proof. Being diagnosed with terminal cancer, Ellen was even more aware of the power of nature and found her solace and healing in the stillness, sacredness and perfection of all that grows in our gardens and forest.
