With over 650,000 people living in our local area, the City of Casey, Cardinia Shire, Greater Dandenong and parts of Kingston are the fastest growing population corridor in the State. It is expected to grow by 50-80% in next 20 years.
It is one of the most culturally diverse regions with people from over 150 countries of origin. In some areas 40 -70% speak English as a second language and have been born overseas.
The largest cultural groups include Australian, English, Indian, Sinhalese, Afghan, Scottish, Irish, Greek, Dutch, Vietnamese and Chinese.
